Feminism

I know guys cringe when they hear this word, and to a certain degree they deserve to.
I truly believe it has gotten out of hand.
Feminism was about creating strong women like Queen Elizabeth, or Queen Victoria or even Margret Thatcher, so they could bring good things to their families and the world.
I know feminism was also about equality. Not that I am again equality.
But a lot of women view feminism as domination instead of understand that men and women are suppose to compliment, not dominate, each other.

I know i would not have the choices i do today, if it wasn't for the people that fought of it; however it should not be like this.
But it was not mean to destroy the values of life.
It wasn't about all the things it has turned to today.

A Glorious Day!

Today the decision of Columbia v. Heller was decided.
It was a 5-4 Decision in favor of Heller.
The decision was about the consitutionalism of the second amendment.
I do not think can write it better than the person on Wikipedia did, so go read:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/District_of_Columbia_v._Heller

On a side note, I do have a minor rant.
It is disturbing how we live in time where information is so available, but people do not value knowledge as they use to. It use to be encouraged to be as educated as possible, but now people who are intelligent, are mocked. Why? We would not even have the Internet if it was not for intelligent people.

Getting Home

As part of my routine, I commute almost daily.
One of my concerns is what if something happens.
I have been in a semi-major car accident once.
So, I have had the experience of the "what if" come true.

I do believe in being prepared, however preparedness should not consume you.
Otherwise you don't live.
Like all things, it must be in moderation.

With that in mind, I have made a first aid for my car. (For flats, jumper cables, etc..)
A first aid kit in my car for me or anyone that needs it.
Now I am working on a get home bag.

My reasoning for this if for some reason I can not use my car, I do wish to be able to get home. What is even more important, is I get home safely. There is no point in trying to go home, if you can do it safely.

I have a lot considerations to keep in mind.
Particularly the Sun. If I have to get home, I need make sure the Sun does not fry me. This goes beyond just summertime, because of where I live.
I guess that is something I wish to pass on. Depending on where you live, or what season it is, one must still keep in mind the weather. Do not let your self be caught in bad weather without proper gear. (Raincoat/ponchos, and so forth.)

Also, even in the summer, it is good to have a blanket in your car. When the sun sets, it can get cold, especially if you get wet.

Take care and be well.

Paranoia?

The word "Paranoia" is always used in such a negative connotation, however it keeps people prepared.
I do not deny that some people are truly too paranoid, however a small amount is good.

There is an old saying "Better safe than sorry."
Even governments promote the safe than sorry attitude.
When governments spend the time and money to do something, then it is pretty clear that is a big enough issue to do so.

It is worth you effort to prepare for natural disasters, economic distubances and the imfamous zombies. I had a chance to add to my preparation things today, which made me happy.

Take care and be well.

A little Wisdom

A little introspective insight.

Wisdom is better than Knowledge.
Emotionally Strength is better than Physical Strength.
Real Friends are better than Fake Friends.
Listening is better than just Hearing.
Seeing is better than just looking.

These are the things that matter.

Searching the Net

I found some useful sites online.

I believe in taking care of your health.
It is important to know what you eat.
This site is very important, and tell you how to save money and eat healthy. Additionally, it shows nutrition facts for the food you eat. (With some really nice charts)
By being healthy you save a lot of money in the long run.
http://www.nutritiondata.com/

The other site I found is an extension of Imdb.
I promoted Imdb (International movie database) before.
It is pretty much a tv guide.

Not much else on my end.
You all take care.

My Rant

I usually do not rant; however, I have been so angry lately.
I am sick of wussies.
I am sick of all the stupid rules.
Cookie monster eats celery.
Children can not play dodge ball or legos.
In California, people paint their guns pink, so the guns will not be “evil black things”

I am sick of people who do not know who to drive. They go 50 miles an hour in a 65 zone.
When I was driving today, I had a guy cut in front of me. There was no more than 6 feet between the car in front of and my car. Then he ran the red light when we got off the freeway. The people in the car just looked at me, with the attitude of “so what?”

Moreover, I am sick of rapists and all those people who do horrible things and destroy lives.
I am sick of the people who think that the death penalty by injection is painful, because the needle stings a little. (I am not taking a position on being pro-life or not) I just think people just cry over the littlest of things.

This is not the world I want my child to grow up in. I do not want bubble wrap on everything. I do not wish for my child to be protected so much they do not scrap their knees on occasion.

Without some pain, how can one understand true happiness? The world is so caught up on be happy, but sugar coating everything does not allow anyone to be happy.

I wish everyone well. Take care of the ones you love.
