Sewing for Survival

Sewing is a useful tool.
It does not take much effort to learn how to.
It does effort to make it graceful.

It can be used to seal wounds, med clothing/ any cloth-like material, make clothing, decorating (needlepoint and what not), and much more.

On a more serious note, it is extremely good in case of survival. You will not be able to buy new clothes when you need it, so you will have to do with what you have.
Worst come to worst, one can sew together two pieces or more of clothes to make a new piece of clothing.

One sidenote: if you bed sheets is getting that thinning hole in the middle, you can cut the sheet in half and sew together the good edges in the middle. (you would do it as if you were trying to make a seem for clothing) Put the good side up. (where you can not see the stitching)
People typically will not see your bed sheets. So it is a good way to save money. It is particually good for children's bed sheets that usually wear quicker.
